The ZuCar Gaelic4Teens Programme

At ZuCar, we are very proud to be the Performance Partner of the LGFA and we support clubs and players around the country. ZuCar will also be collaborating with the LGFA to implement the Gaelic4Teens campaign for the third year in a row.

The Gaelic4Teens initiative was developed in response to data showing that players play for fun, to get better, to stay fit and healthy, to decompress, and because their friends play too.

The initiative will collaborate closely with coaches to determine the most effective means of communication and player engagement for them, as well as to shape the content of their coaching sessions. The programme will also look at the coaching environment needed to make sure players' long-term development is supported in the club.

The program will be regularly monitored and evaluated to ensure that its objective of having a direct impact on players' retention is met.

The Gaelic4Teens programme is an initiative that works closely with coaches to identify optimal communication and player engagement strategies, as well as tailor coaching session content to their needs. Additionally, the programme focuses on creating a conducive coaching environment to ensure the long-term development of players within the club.

The Importance of Prioritising Your Physical Well-Being

Engaging in sports offers an excellent avenue to maintain fitness and overall health. Rachel, a member of St. Sylvester’s GAA Malahide, prioritises her physical well-being by adhering to a rigorous training regimen, which includes six weekly sessions, three of which are particularly intense. To ensure her body receives ample energy, Rachel opts for carbohydrate-rich foods. The upcoming Gaelic4Teens festival day on April 27th will be enriched by the presence of ZuCar Gaelic4Teens ambassadors Sinead Delahunty and Sharon Courtney who will enlighten attendees on the importance of maintaining a Healthy Diet, Proper Nutrition, and Hydration.

The Importance of Socialising

Eva, representing St. Sylvester's GAA Club Malahide , emphasises the significance of socialising and enjoying herself. Inspired by her friends who are actively involved in GAA football, she decided to join them. Research indicating that many players engage in the sport for enjoyment and because their peers participate as well served as the foundation for the Ladies Gaelic Football Association Gaelic4Teens festival day initiative. At the upcoming ZuCar Gaelic4Teens festival day on April 27th, 2024, Orlagh Farmer, Emily Martin and Maire O Shaughnessy, serving as ZuCar Gaelic4Teens ambassadors, will share their expertise in Lifestyle Planning, Team Culture and Bonding, enriching the event.
